Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud has made a quick return from a broken leg, he sustained in an epic 2-2 drawn game with Everton at the Ewood Park on August 23rd.

Speaking to the press this afternoon, Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger said, " He (Giroud) is three or four weeks ahead of schedule. Originally we planned to have him back for competition at the beginning of next year, so he's one month ahead."

The French front man scored twice for the gunners before breaking his foot and his abrupt return will ease the workload on Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, who is enjoying a remarkable season with the North London club, scoring 12 goals in 17 appearances for Arsenal.

Arsenal come face-to-face with Louis van Gaal's Manchester United this weekend at the Emirate Stadium, where the pressure will be on Wenger to deliver haven't lost 1-2 away to Swansea City on November 9.

Former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is not likely to start for Arsenal as he is battling with a hamstring he sustained during England's midweek clash with Scotland.

Also available for selection is the 25-year-old English winger, Theo Walcott, who suffered a cruciate ligament in his left knee in Arsenal's 2-0 FA Cup win over North London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs on January 4th.

However, Arsene Wenger will have a lot to think about defensively as centre back Laurent Koscielny and right back Mathieu Debuchy are yet to recover.
