NOV 20, 2014 LISTEN

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu believes the 3-1 win over Togo on Wednesday was one of the best performances by the side in a long while.

The Black Stars sealed their place at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with the impressive with over the visiting Hawks in Tamale.

The team has struggled to impress the ever-demanding Ghanaian fans since their disappointing early exit from the 2014 World Cup.

But the team showed glimpses of its gradual return from its deep recession in the win over Togo on Wednesday.

Agyemang-Badu who was the stand-in captain for the game recognized the team's heightened display in the win over Togo but admits the team still needs to improve.

“So far this has been one of the best games [against Togo] we've played,” he told MTNFootball.com.

“It is not merely because of the scoreline but then they manner in which the entire team worked for the victory.

“Most at times we dominate games but are unable to create the number of chances we created yesterday [Wednesday].

“In the first half for instance, we created over eight scoring chances but we could only score two.

“So the game went well for us but we also know we have to improve. For instance we struggled in the first 15 minutes of the second half and that we need to improve.”
