Ghana Loses Talent To England

Ghana once again has lost another star player to the european world,with the likes of Marcel Desaily already playing for France, Gerald Asamoah playing for the German national team, Nigel Quarshie trying to work his way into the Scotland national team,Freddie Adu for USA and George Boateng for the Dutch national team the list is endless.

Born on the 27th of April 1985 here in london to Mr Paul Kwame Asante and Mrs Ernestina Asante, Anita Asante the first of the couple three children plays professional football with Arsenal ladies the winners of this years FA cup has said in an exclusive interview on Hot 106.0 FM in London that she does not think she can ever play for the female national team the Black Queens because she has already featured for the under 19 England team where she was their captain before been promoted into the under 21 some months ago.

Anita an offensive midfielder said in the interview that she decided to choose football as her career because its the passion of the family and her daddy is a number one football fan who he has been encouraging her when the family realised the talent in her as a footballer.Anita said she has been in Ghana three times since she was born and really like the motheland very well.

On the question about the national women team the Black Queens, Anita said she has heard a lot about the team and their achievements in the African Cup of nation as well as the World Cup and she wants to wish them all the best in their future assignments.

On her debut with the England under 21 team in the match with Iceland two months ago, Anita said it was indeed a wonderful expierence to play for the national under 21 team.England won the match by one goal to nil.

About her future plans Miss Anita Asante said unfortunately she will be leaving Arsenal ladies this year not to another club in England but to the United States of America precisely Miami University to further her education and her football career over there because she believes women football is more competitive in the US than it is here in England.
