The Lions have hit Mosley with a two-week ban for conduct detrimental to the team and violation of team rules on the eve of Detroit's clash against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium in London.
The 31-year-old has been placed on the reserve/suspended list, with safety Jerome Couplin promoted and re-signed from the practice squad.
Mosley - in his second season in Detroit - has not missed a game, appearing in all 23 matches since joining the Lions as a free agent before the 2013 campaign.
