Kanter posted a game-high 27 points to help the Jazz to a 105-91 pre-season win over the Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

The Turkish giant - entering his fourth NBA season after being selected third overall by Utah in 2011 - was 12-of-17 from the floor.

Point guard Trey Burke chipped in with 23 points, while Derrick Favors dished up a double-double (12 points and 15 rebounds).

Oklahoma City - contesting their final pre-season game - struggled after being outscored in three of the four quarters.

Perry Jones was the Thunder's leading point-getter with 20, while star pair Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka scored 14 points apiece.

Dwyane Wade showed glimpses of his best in the post-LeBron James era to help the Miami Heat past the Houston Rockets.

Wade shot 26 points and had six assists in the 90-85 victory over the Rockets in Miami.

Chris Bosh contributed 22 points, while Mario Chalmers was the only other Miami player to reach double figures.

Dwight Howard and James Harden both had 19 points.

In other results, Anthony Bennett and Ricky Rubio combined for 33 points to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves past the Indiana Pacers 107-89.

Bennett scored 17 points and Rubio added 16 of his own.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 20 points and 11 rebounds as the Portland Trail Blazers accounted for the Denver Nuggets 93-75.

The Phoenix Suns outscored the Los Angeles Lakers by six points in overtime to win 114-108 and the Los Angeles Clippers lost 125-107 against the Golden State Warriors.
