Prodigal Alex Asamoah Begs For Ashantigold Return

Former Asante's kotoko and Aduana stars striker Alex Asamoah has issued a pleading statement to Ashantigold sporting club to take him back.

Asamoah haven had two spell stint with the miners first from 2005-2008 and then in 2012 before joining Aduana FC is desperately seeking for a possible Ashanti gold return.

The 2009 Ghana league top scorer has now fell in the peaking order and is not as sharp as he used to be after some twelve seasons in the Ghana league. He only managed to score five goals last season in the first capital plus premier league.

“I am pleading with Ashgold management, board and supporters to forgive me for any harm caused after my exit and take me back I am ready to give my all again as I use to play my heart out for them “. Asamoah told sportsworldghana.com in an exclusive interview.

The former Asante Kotoko danger man when asked about his knowledge about the current Ashgold team however described the miners club as a wonderful team built around young players tipping them to win the upcoming first capital plus premier league.

“I witnessed their game against Kotoko and they played excellently as a team the only short fall is their striking department which when given the chance to play am ready to solve it “. He noted

The striker pointed out to our outfit that he did not sign for any club before the transfer deadline after his move to Europe failed to materialize.

Meanwhile the Obuasi based club supporters are divided on the decision to bring back their one time poster boy.
