Midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu concedes the Black Stars must tighten up its defence after letting in five goals in four games.

Ghana have been unable to keep a clean sheet in their qualifying campaign towards next year's Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Stars defence has been leaking goals with opponents taking full advantage of the shaky rearguard.

This feature of the Black Stars' game in sharp contrast of what the team used to be some years ago especially when Milovan Rajevac was the coach.

Opponents found it often tough to squeeze in a goal even though the Black Stars also struggled to score many.

Kwesi Appiah also did relatively well during his time with the Black Stars especially during the 2014 World Cup qualifiers.

But the current crop can't just keep a clean sheet to save their lives and Agyemang-Badu admits it is something that must change.

“We never want to concede goals,” he said.
“But the problem is not only with the defence . It's from the midfield and attack because we play as a team.

“We attack as a team and also defend as a team so when we concede we are all to blame.”
