Goalkeeper Razak Brimah believes he is presented with the best opportunity to become Ghana's first choice.

The 27-year-old has been bidding his time to get a real chance with the Black Stars but is considered down the perking order against the likes of Adam Kwarsey, Fatau Dauda and now Stephen Adams.

Brimah has been a regular performer for his second tier Spanish club CD Mirandes.

He has however been very unfortunate not to have kept the Ghana post in last month's 2015 AFCON qualifiers due to a jaw injury.

The ex FC Nania man was again prevented by his club from joining up with his international teammates for this month's round of qualifiers against Guinea – with his late invitation serving as the perfect excuse.

But with Ghana appearing to be struggling in the goalkeeping department with inconsistent forms of Kwarsey , Dauda and Adams, Brimah believes he is presented with a unique opportunity to make the position his own.

“I have fully recovered from my [jaw] injury and already back in action for my club so I am really looking forward to a return to the Black Stars,” he told MTNFootball.com.

“I think I am ready and when given the chance I believe I can be the first choice for my nation.

“I have been waiting patiently for my chance and when it comes, I will grab it with both hands.

“It has always been a dream for me to play for the Black Stars and therefore I am always very delighted to be invited but now I believe I am ready to start games.

“I am very confident in my abilities and I will want to show Ghanaians what I am capable of.”

Brimah has won just two caps for the Black Stars but it yet to play a competitive game for the side.
