The American claimed his maiden PGA Tour title in thrilling fashion, having led by as many as four shots on the back nine before being overtaken by Kevin Streelman.

Martin's moment came at the 16th hole, where he sank a 46-foot right-to-left eagle putt to regain the outright lead before birdying the 18th to seal the silverware at TPC Summerlin in Las Vegas.

The 27-year-old finished on 20-under overall after his final-round three-under-par 68, from fellow American Streelman (65) who was outright second.

Streelman caught fire on his back nine, birdying five of six holes from 12 through 17 to momentarily take the lead before Martin steadied.

Third was Scotsman Russell Knox (70), who was in contention until his challenge derailed across holes eight and nine where he went bogey, double bogey.

Knox carded four back-nine birdies to climb back to outright third on 16 under, a shot clear of American trio Webb Simpson (68), Brooks Koepka (68) and Jimmy Walker (69) - all three shooting sub-70 rounds throughout the tournament.

David Hearn (68) of Canada joined Americans Tony Finau (67) and Scott Piercy (69) in a tie for seventh at 14 under.

Six players, including Japan's Hideki Matsuyama, were tied for 10th at 13 under.

Matsuyama, the world number 19, bookended his week with 66s, and finished level with Canada's Adam Hadwin (63) and Americans Scott Brown (66), Robert Streb (66), Spencer Levin (69) and Brandt Snedeker (69).
