Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has declared there will be no financial liability to the state over the sacking of national team coaches as it has been since 2006.

Fears are rife over a purported huge financial liability to the state following the dismissal of coach Kwesi Appiah.

Critics say there lies a huge financial burden ahead to be shouldered by the state due to the 'negligent' decision of the Ghana FA to terminate a two-year contract with Appiah just two months or so into the deal.

But GFA boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has diffused this thought by saying no such liability will be incurred on the state as all issues of such nature are taken up by his association.

“We have dealt with coaches without liabilities to the state,” he told the Presidential Commission on Thursday.

“Emoluments, bonuses and all other entitlements are dealt with by the Ghana FA through its sponsors and not charged on the consolidated fund of the state.”

The Ghana FA are still in the process of agreeing to a severance package for ex Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.
