Feyenoord manager Fred Rutten is counting on the individual influence of Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker Elvis Manu to beat Standard Liege in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday evening.

Rutten wants to use the Black Stars prospect at the core of his tactical strategy to edge Liege in the clash.

Feyenoord host the Belgian Pro League giants at the Stadion Feijenoord as they seek their first win in Group G.

Though Manu, 21, has not scored in the Eredivisie for Feyenoord but his influence is telling on their performance as he helped them to reach the group stages of the competition.

According to statistics from the Netherlands, Rutten is likely to start Manu upfront in a 4-3-3 formation as he is expected to bring his powerful play to bare on the evening.

Elvis Manu, Colin Kazim-Richards and Jens Toornstra are expected to lead the attack for Feyenoord.
