EXCLUSIVE: Ghana Olympic team coach Jabir names 29-man squad for camping, Kwame Boahene earns call-up

Al Ahli Tripoli new recruit Kwame Boahene is among 29 players called-up to begin camping  1 ahead of Ghana's Under-23 qualifying campaign, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The former Medeama enforcer has caught the attention of coach Malik Jabir after impressing heavily during the CAF Confederation Cup this season with the ambitious Ghanaian side.

The highly-rated midfielder is expected to be an added piece to the side as they begin preparations for the African championship.

Inter Allies new striker Sulley Mohammed has been drafted into the team while there are places for Ghana Under-20 stars Kennedy Ashia, Lawrence Lartey and Jeremiah Arkoful as well as in-form Hasaacas attacker Samuel Afful.

Ghana's leading football website, GHANAsoccernet.com has exclusively intercepted the full squad expected to be released by the Ghana FA on Tuesday.

Ghana will face Liberia in the first qualifying round qualifier at a yet to be announced date by the Confederation of African Football.

The Meteors also have an impending assignment against Egypt's U23 side- a friendly-on 14 October in Cairo.

Ghana must first reach the 2015 CAF U23 finals in DR Congo next December to pick one of the three qualification slots for Africa ahead of the Olympic Games in Brazil in 2016.
