Madam Ernestina Abroaquah, Managing Director of Litina Travel and Tours( LTT), is demanding $333,500 from Travel Matters Ghana Limited, after going into agreement with the latter to airlift  football fans from Ghana to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Madam Abroaquah, whose outfit went into agreement with Travel Matters to secure an aircraft from Ethiopian Airlines to airlift fans to Brazil, on Thursday told the Commission of Inquiry chaired by Justice Senyo Dzamefe that, efforts to claim the money from the latter have proved futile.

“Ivan Cudjoe who owns Travel Matters does not pick my calls anymore and the wife who doubles as my school mate and a director of the company, is also not responding to my calls.

“I have not received a penny from Travel Matters for the job we jointly did, because Ivan claims he filled the plane even though there was a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between us over sharing of profit,” Madam Abroaquah stated.

According to Litina, they spent a total of $1.7 million on the chartering of the aircraft, with an estimated gross profit of $620,000 to be shared between Travel Matters and Litina Travel Tours with her share being $333,500.

She stated that, out of the $620,000 dollars gross profit, they were to make payments for insurance, adverts and other expenses to bring the net profit to $573,000, of which she was entitled to $333,500 as profit.

Justice Dzamefe, said, his outfit will look into the matter and make the needed recommendations to enable her get what was due her. Story by Ghana/Joy Sports
