Ghana midfielder Andre Ayew silenced his critics by grabbing a brace for Olympique Marseille in their 5-0 win over Reims in the French Ligue 1 on Tuesday night.
The winger's pair of goals was scored in seven minutes to give Les Phoceens a 4-0 lead.
Ayew as been slated by the French media for putting up slack performances in protest of his failed move during the summer transfer window.
But the Ghana international allowed his displays at the Stade Auguste-Delaune II do the talking.
The 24-year-old's first was recorded in the 52nd minute with assist from Ivory Coast international Brice Dja Djédjé.
He added the second on 59 minutes.
The result meant Marseille stayed on top of the table.
