Ghana submitted its bid to host the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations on Friday.

According to a Ghana News Agency reports, the 2008 hosts became the second country to send a bid ahead of next week's 30 September deadline.

Ghana's document includes various details on sectors like infrastructure, communication, transport and health.

The document arrived at the Confederation of African Football headquarters in Cairo by courier.

Reports say Sudan were the first to submit their bid with the Egyptian Football Association expected to put in a bid by close of Wednesday, 24 September.

Algeria, who has constantly made public their interest in staging the biannual gathering for Africa's best 16 teams.

CAF will announce the winner for the hosting rights in 2015.

Libya, was billed the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations but dropped its interest as a result of political instability.
