Acting Asante Kotoko CEO Opoku Nti is confident in the squad assembled is capable of defending League and FA Cup titles.

The Porcupine warriors have seen the departure of defensive shield Kwabena Edusei, experienced goalkeeper Soulama Abdoulaye, midfielder Michael Akuffo and strikers Abdul Aziz and Seidu Bancey.

But have acquired striker Samad Oppong, who played in Cyprus last season, centre-back Akwasi Acheampong, Obed Owusu (formerly of Berekum Chelsea), Richard Oti (Medeama), Ivorian import Mamadou Kone, Ahmed Toure and goalkeeper Eric Ofori Antwi from Amidaus Professionals.

Nti says the side is well adept to continue winning this season.

“We haven't just let go off players we have ensured we signed adequate replacement for some of the players that left,” the club legend told GHANASoccernet.com
