Ghana defender Daniel Opare returned to full-scale training for FC Porto on Monday after battling with muscle problems since his summer move.

Opare trained with the first team ahead of their Champions League match against Belarusian side BATE Borisov on Wednesday night which they won 6-0.

The versatile full-back is yet to play his first competitive match for the Dragons since joining on a free transfer after ending his contract with Standard Liege.

His injury setbacks denied him a slot on Porto's roster for the first half of the Champions League season.

Opare had to pull out of the Ghana's squad for this month's double 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Uganda and Togo.

The 23-year-old played one match for Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals.
