The Ghana Football Association must stump out a whopping US$ 876,000 to dismissed coach Kwesi Appiah as severance package which is his consolidated two-year salary.

Appiah, who was appointed two years ago, was relieved off his post on Thursday, 24 hours after leading the Black Stars to beat Togo 2-1 in a 2015 Nations Cup qualifier.

The Executive Committee of the GFA took the decision to sack the coach despite picking up four points from the available six in the qualifiers.

The ex-Ghana captain had signed a new two-year deal worth US$ 36, 500 after masterminding the country's qualification to the 2014 World Cup.

Appiah previously served as an assistant coach from 2008 to 2012 and lead the Black Stars to the semi-finals of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations finals in South.
