Black Stars players and their technical team have donated 100 million Cedis to one of their key supporters Joseph “Baby Ojoe” Tagoe to help support him after a recent surgery in Kumasi.

The players and their coaching staff donated the money to the ailing supporter three days as they seek to support him to pay for his upkeep after undergoing surgery following his recent illness.

The players and team officials made the donation even though they did not earn any bonuses for their match against Uganda as they had vowed to support him youngster.

Ojoe, who entertains the Black Stars with his funny dance by mimicking false wailing, was struck by what looked like typhoid which had affected his liver.

He underwent surgery at the Komfo Anokye hospital while the Black Stars were away but captain Asamoah Gyan kept his promise of getting the players to contribute to help in his upkeep.

Coach Kwesi Appiah visited the supporter, who draws cheers of 'Ojoe M3nsu' meaning Ojoe don't cry, when he entertains the Black Stars, at home and also donated 10 million cedis before the players and other officials topped it up with 90 millions cedis.

While the Black Stars have not been keen on publicising the donation to the ailing supporter they have come in for the flak from a section of the media asking them to donate their monies to good causes.

The players insist they donate to several good causes without publicity.
