The Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the 2014 World Cup was yesterday rocked by the sterling performance of Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare Minister for Tourism and Creative Arts and a swaggered tears from Hon. Kojo Adu-Asare.

The Commission had to halt abruptly barely twenty minutes into proceedings for Hon. Adu-Asare, Chairman of the Sub-Committee in charge of Protocol and Supporters Welfare to bail himself as he kept scratching his feet.

"Honorable are you okay?," Justice Dzamefe asked.
"Yes my lord I'm alright except that my feet is itching me," Adu-Asare responded.

"No no no!!! we can't allow you to continue in this manner. We want you to be free so at this point please lets break for at least two minutes for him to put himself into shape," Justice Dzamefe declared.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vital Concept Limited based in Ghana, Sierra Leone and Guinea admitted to the Commission that due diligence were not followed in the discharge of their duties in selecting the travel agencies who lifted supporters to Brazil.

"You said nine people applied right, so how did you arrived at the final three because for you to choose three from nine there must be a scoring point," Justice Dzamefe asked.

"No my lord. We did not score them but we looked at how they could complement each other because we realized that none of them had the muscle to execute the full job solely on himself," Adu-Asare said.

When questioned by learned Moses Foh-Amoaning whether that was the right method he conceded that his committee could have done a better job.

In concluding his testimony, Hon. Kojo Adu-Asare broke down in tears haven't considered the time and resources that he and his colleagues committed into Ghana's preparations to the Brazil 2014 FIFA World Cup.

However, Hon. Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare was the star of the day as she delivered a sweet but concise testimony characterized with a true sense of nationalism.

The Hon. Minister was the Chairperson of the Committee of creative arts whose mandate was to come out with a cultural group, exhibitors and individuals to showcase traditional Ghanaian wares like Kente and beads in Brazil.

"My lord, we wanted to portray the things that we do here like beads and Kente as a way to market our culture because we saw the World Cup as a very big opportunity to advertise the Tourism sector to the world but unfortunately in the end we were told by Dentaa Amoateng that we couldn't send the exhibitors because there was no money to cater for them," She said.

"My lord we assembled a cultural group here in Accra from all the regions, took them through rehearsals and also procured visa's for them but unfortunately just four days to the start of the World Cup I was told that they couldn't get enough funds to sponsor us."

"So when you were told they couldn't secure sponsorship for your group what did you do but did you tried to find out from the Minister himself?," Moses Foh-Amoaning asked.

"Yes my lord I tried several times to get in touch with the Minister but I couldn't get him and Dentaa was the one who was liaison between us and the Ministry," she said.

"My lord so I told them about the situation at hand and they understood me and let me put it on record here that I had to pay them to go," she added.

"But did you do any costing afterwards because I know how much these things cost and like you said you assembled people here for some weeks and then eventually couldn't go," Foh-Amoaning asked.

"My lord I cannot do costing because it is a routing exercise that my Ministry do so we took it as one of those exercises," she said.
