Ghana striker abdul-Majeed Waris has completed a move to trabzonspor after signing a four-year contract with the turkish giants.

The 22-year-old sealed the permanent move from Russian giants Spartak Moscow on Monday morning. Waris signed the deal after passing a medical in the Turkish capital city of Istanbul on Monday morning.

This means the French side Lille's hopes of signing the Ghana star has collapsed as predicted by Ghanasocccernet. com on Saturday, since they were unable to come up with the € 4m demanded by Russian club Spartak for the striker.

Waris spent the second half of last season on loan at relegated French side Valenciennes where he scored nine goals which sparked interest from several French sides for his services.

The Black Stars striker was one of the best strikers in France last season when he spent six months on loan with Valenciennes.

Waris struggled to cement a regular place at Spartak Moscow, sparking his interest to leave the club for other leagues in Europe to maintain his form and keep his place in the Ghana national team.

Following his desire to leave Russia, 12 clubs turned their attention to the Ghana star who enjoyed a fairly successful loan spell at Valenciennes in the second half of last season.

Spanish duo Malaga and Granada alongside German club Hertha Berlin were all reported to have joined the chase to sign the Ghanaian.

Lens, Lille, Saint Etienne and Bordeaux were also mentioned as interested parties.

But Trabzonspor were the only club to have met the demands of the Russian club Spartak Moscow to sign Waris.
