LIVE UPDATES: Transfer deadline day – Rumors, news and last minute deals
01.09.2014 LISTEN

Constantly updating transfer news and rumors from the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Bundesliga, throughout Monday's madness with several Ghanaian abroad players very much in the mix.

For most countries in Europe, the transfer deadline pops up on Monday. The deadline usually falls on the final day of August, but for the second year in a row, that day was on a weekend, while games were being played. For that reason, the transfer window stretches into September, and will close at 11 p.m. BST, which is 10pm Ghana time in most countries, including England.

The window closes at different times in some other countries, however. Because the Germans generally like to get their business done in a more efficient fashion than everyone else, their window closes early. Bundesliga teams can no longer sign players after 6 p.m. local time, 12 p.m. ET. Italy's window shuts at 11 p.m. local time, 5 p.m. ET, while the windows shut in England, France and Spain one hour later. Some countries — like Russia — keep their transfer windows open beyond Monday.

In this space, we'll be updating everything that happens for Ghanaian players and other top players in Europe up until the deadline, and likely for another hour or two after it closes, as we learn whether or not rumored last-minute deals actually end up going through.
