Everton were left in a complete state of drunkenness at the Goodison Park on Saturday as Chelsea spanked them by 6-3 to leapfrog to the summit of the Premiership table.

Former Atletico Madrid goal monger, Diego Costa signed his name on the score sheet in just 35 seconds into the game when Cesc Fabregas threaded a pass through the Everton defence for the striker to fire one past Tim Howard.

Branislav Ivanovic made it two for the Blues in the 2nd minute though he looked a shade offside from the replay. In the 8th minute, Tim Howard had to come out of his line to grab a through ball towards Costa but the referee did not pay heed to Chelsea's claim.

The toffees struck one back in the 45th minute from Mirallas' header. McGeady's ball found Coleman who flighted a sweet cross into Chelsea's box for the busy Mirallas to finish off excellently.

Chelsea extended their lead in the 67th minute when Coleman directed Hazard's lofty cross into the box into his own net. Eden Hazard who has had a quite day burst into the box from the left as his outside leg cross to his men in the box ended up in Howard's net courtesy Coleman's deflection.

The home side reduced the deficit in the 69th minute through Naismith. McGeady's through ball into the box saw the entire Chelsea defence swept by Lukaku's run across the eighteen leaving Naismith in a good position to beat Courtois.

Matic made it four for Chelsea in the 74th minute when he fired from outside the box to beat helpless Tim Howard.

Debutant Samuel Eto'o Fils who completed his move from Chelsea to Everton on Wednesday penned his name on the score sheet in the 76th minute when his header from Baines free kick beat Courtois in post for Chelsea.

But Ramirez extended the lead again for Chelsea in a space of a minute when he played a one-two with Matic and then strike from a close range.

Diego Costa made it alpha and omega when he scored the last goal in the 90th minute to make it four goals from three premier league games in a Chelsea shirt.
