Hearts coach Herbert Addo frustrated in transfer market

Herbert Addo feels irritated over Hearts' slow progress in the transfer market, GHANAsoccernet.com can reveal.

The former African champions are struggling to meet the asking prize of their transfer targets.

They have been linked with moves for several high profile players including goalkeeper Stephen Adams, free agent Yakubu Mohammed and New Edubiase playmaker Asiedu Atobrah but have been unsuccessful so far due to the huge prize tag placed on them.

Clubs are demanding exorbitant fees for their players which has left the former Inter Allies coach hugely frustrated in the transfer market.

Hearts ambition of wrestling the Premier crown from the arch-rivals Kotoko is being threatened as they have not made any significant signing this term.

They have only managed to bring in low-profile players like Ebusua Dwarfs defender Prince Atinga and Medeama's Sumaila Attia.

Shockingly the 2000 African champions are struggling to attract top players, barely a month before the start of the new season.

Addo is desperate to land his intended target to help him recapture the crown this term, having played catch-ups to Kotoko over the last three seasons.

The last won the league in 2008 and are gradually losing their status as a powerful force in Ghanaian football.
