GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report that goalkeeper Fatau Dauda finally signed a two-year deal with newly promoted South African top-flight side Chippa United on Monday evening.

The Ghana World Cup gloves man is desperate to revive his career having played second fiddle to Senzo Meyiwa at Orlando Pirates since moving to the club at the start of last season.

GHANASoccernet.com understands the 29-year-old decided to move on after the ChilliBoyz coach Kostadin Papic assured him of unlimited game time.

“I come to help the team to achieve its goals and improve on my performance,” Dauda exclusively told GHANASoccernet.com.

“Chippa is an ambitious club and I am an ambitious person.

“If I could perform like what I did at the World Cup with less playing time, I am confident I can improve more with more games.”

Dauda made only three appearances for Orlando Pirates last term but went on to excel in the two matches he was between the sticks at the World Cup.

He was benched for the opening match against USA and re-instated in the 2-2 draw with Germany and the 2-1 defeat to Portugal in the final Group G match.

The former AshantiGold goalkeeper's return to action will concretize his position as Ghana's number one for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers which begin early next month.

Ghana are at home to Uganda in their opener in Group E before travelling to Togo and Guinea.
