Sports News Ghanaian Athletes Offer Perspectives About 2014 Commonwealth Games
AUG 2, 2014 LISTEN

We have seen a number of stories in the Ghanaian media about alleged shenanigans that are supposed to have happened in Ghana's camp at the Commonwealth Games.

Sportscruder.com claimed there was a near brawl between two officials of the GOC; Ghanasportsonline claimed athletes were only given one pair of kits for the Games; GNA published a story with the caption-GOC's £36,900 events tickets go waste.

It is interesting that in all these stories, no attempts were made to get our side of the story published in the original stories.

The GNA story was written by the General Secretary of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana, William Ezah. The least we would have expected him to do, was to have contacted the GOC since he is in Glasgow.

Please below are links to interviews with athletes that will offer some other perspectives:

We are available for any further clarification.

We hope this helps

Thank you.
