Ghanaian youngster Nii Nortey Ashong has signed a three-year contract with Italian Serie B side Latina, GHANASoccernet.com can exclusively report.
Ashong joined Latina on a free transfer after terminating his contract with Fiorentina.
The 19-year-old hugely impressed on a three-day trial at the team training camp in Folgaria.
“After a few days of trial, Nii Nortey Ashong has convinced everyone. Latina have acquired him on a three-year contract after the termination of the player's contract with Fiorentina.
“The left-footed defender spent last season on loan at Spezia. The 1994-born has great technical skills and athletic.”
He signed for Fiorentina in September 2011 from Triestina in a co-ownership deal.
