British 2009 world champion Button is out of contract at the end of the year and has no guarantees over his future.

But the 34-year-old, who is struggling in eighth in the drivers' standings in Formula One in 2014, said rumours Red Bull's Vettel or Ferrari's Alonso were set to move were pure speculation.

"I do feel very much part of this team. I have worked with them for many years," Button told the F1 website.

"For me I don't understand why Sebastian should want to leave Red Bull - and Fernando has a long-term contract with Ferrari so I don't see that, but true, that's good rumour."

Button was ninth fastest in both practice sessions at the Hungarian Grand Prix on Friday as Mercedes continued their dominance.

Asked whether he could surprise at a race he won in 2006 and 2011, Button said a podium finish looked unlikely.

"The Mercedes are still way ahead and so are the Red Bulls," he said.

"Ferrari and Williams are difficult to judge but my guess is no podium here. Not this time."
