Survival of the fittest: Evans Adotey: I am still coach for Medeama

Although Medeama sc in their maiden appearance in CAF Confederations Cup reached the final phase of the elimination stage, they failed to impress on the domestic scene, hence placed 9 on the league log.

The technical team headed by the Peruvian trainer, Carlos Alberto Paulette has been dissolved, however Evans Adotey the assistant coach has stated that he was instructed to stay on with the 'Yellow and Mauves' side and he is waiting for the owner of the club  for final discussion on the way forward.

'After I heard reports of the dismissal of the entire technical team, I went to enquire of my current status in the club and I was told it didn't affect me,' Adotey said.

'They told me to take over from the 'White man' and at the same time (director) Moses Armah Parker called me from USA that I should prepare the programme for pre-season for the team.

'Despite the fact that I have talked to the director, who is in the USA about my future and waiting for his coming to finalise everything, I read reports on the internet that Medeama have appointed a new technical team to take over.

'I am therefore waiting for my boss to come back from America to confirm whether he will let me leave or remain to assist whoever comes in as the head coach, but to the best of my knowledge I was told to stay.'

The former FA Cup winners in their restructuring process also dissolved the Management team of the club.
