Arsenal have offered Real Madrid goalkeeper Iker Casillas, 33, a five-year deal worth £1.4m per-year according to the Daily Express.

The Daily Mirror reports Arsenal's World-Cup winning trio of Per Mertesacker, 29, Mesut Ozil, 25, and 29-year-old Lukas Podolski will miss the start of the Premier League season after being granted an extended break.

Barcelona
Roma have confirmed the signing of teenage Paraguay international striker Antonio Sanabria from Barcelona. The 18-year-old, who spent the second half of last season at Sassuolo, has penned a five-year deal. 

Chelsea
Jose Mourinho has confirmed he is deliberating on the signing former Chelsea player Didier Drogba despite claiming last week his side were done in the transfer market. The Portuguese said of Drogba's transfer:

'If I bring him back - and the decision has to be made soon, because I want to close the dressing-room door - it is because as a player he has certain qualities to make the team stronger.'

Petr Cech has warned Chelsea he will not settle for a place on the bench next season according to the Daily Mirror.

The manager will however keep both his goalkeepers Petr Cech, 36, and Thibaut Courtois, 22, guessing - but says the team is in good hands whoever starts as his number one.

Chelsea's German midfield misfit Marko Marin, 25, is in talks over a loan move to Turkish side Besiktas. The Turkish club's president Fikret Orman has confirmed his interest in the 25-year-old. Orman said:

'We are in talks with Marin. We could sign him or go for a name who we haven't been linked with yet.'

Liverpool
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard, 34, is set to sign a 12-month contract extension. Manager Brendan Rodgers said:

'I am very happy that Steven is now going to commit to Liverpool and I am sure that (his contract) is something that we will look at.'

Manchester City
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says the champions will attempt to tie up a deal for Nigerian trialist striker Kelechi Iheanacho when they return from their US tour. The 17-year-old scored in Wednesday's 4-1 friendly win at Sporting Kansas City. Pellegrini said:

'For the moment, he (Iheanacho) will stay with us and we'll see when we return to England what will happen with him. But he's a very important player for the future for the club.'

Manchester United
Manchester United are planning a move for Dutch youngster Memphis Depay, 20, reports Metro.

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has dealt a blow to Manchester United by ruling out a switch to Old Trafford.
