25.07.2014 LISTEN

Ghana sprint star Janet Amponsah says there are no favourites for the women's sprint events at the Commonwealth Games.

Amponsah who will run in the 200m and anchor Ghana's 4x100m team says her form this season gives her no caue to fear the star names running in the event.

"Blessing Okagbare(Nigeria) and the Jamaicans are good but it does not matter to me because at the events when you have a fast line up,times will drop.I am not afraid because we are all on the same line. If you win,you win, that is all" she revealed to Allsports.com.gh.

A silver medallist in the 4x100m from the last games in Delhi in 2010,Amponsah is bent on winning an individual event medal at a major event for the same time.

"Every time i go to Commonwealth Games and African games and reach finals but i have never won a medal but this year  i decided i want a medal and that is pushing me"

My time is not far away from the best in the world and so i can get a medal".
