Fatawu Dauda
South African based goalkeeper, fatawu dauda, has revealed that he used his earnings from the 2014 world Cup to buy a house in accra.

The 29-year-old was one of the recipients of the $100,000 given each Black Stars player as appearance fee for the tournament staged in Brazil.

With players blowing their cash on things widely considered as unnecessary, the Orlando Pirates gloves man believes he has put his earning to good use by purchasing a house.

'Because I couldn't win [a single game at the WorldCup and get a winning bonus], I went there [Barclays Legon Branch] to withdraw money and not to deposit money because I didn't get money.' Dauda narrated on Metro TV's

Sports File program.
'I know people will say we got $100,000. I came home [from Brazil] on a Sunday [June 29th] and rested until Wednesday [July 2nd] when I went to buy a house so that I know that I used the money that I got for something reasonable.'

Dauda has done well to gather meaningful investment with his earnings since joining the Black Star fold.

His move to Orlando Pirates last year has massively boosted his cash inflows for him to be able to cater well for his family.
