Fantastico! Muniru’s Cluj beat Jagodina to advance in Europa League

Sulley Ali Muniru is this evening celebrating triumph in European football after his Romania club, CFR Cluj secured qualification into the next round of their UEFA Europa League playoffs as they continue the chase for a group stage ticket.

Muniru, like he did a week ago in the goalless stalemate back at their own Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu, featured for all 90 minutes as Portuguese forward, Bruno Guima came off the bench to net the only goal in 180 minutes of football between the two sides.

1-0 it finished on aggregate, earning Cluj progress into the 3rd qualifying round where they have already been drawn to face Belarus side, Dinamo Minsk over two legs on July 31 and August 7 for a place in the final play-off round ahead of the season's kickoff in September.

Muniru who has vowed to follow in the footsteps of his elder brother, Sulley Muntari to play for Ghana, is also keen to again thread where his brother had and not only play in the Europa League but also display his skills in the biggest club tournament in world football, eventually.

'It was a great feeling and great experience to play in the Europa. I like it so much and I can't wait to play in Champions League in the future,' Muniru Sulley previously told Allsports.com.gh .
