World Cup Pain revealed: Muntari: I have certain things I want to say
24.07.2014 LISTEN

Sully Muntari says he will open up on his world cup horror 'at the right time' but insist getting sacked from the biggest competition in world football will have no bearing on his season.

The midfielder who is on tour with his Italian club AC Milan told reporters he has put his world cup experience behind him and expects to be competing for honours with his club side when Serie A kicks off this season under new coach Filipo Inzaghi.

Muntari was sent home from the world cup on the morning of Ghana's huge game against Portugal for what the Ghana Football Association called 'unwarranted physical attack' on a member of the executive committee of the Ghana Football Association.

Muntari has kept his counsel since then but told reporters after a joint training session of AC Milan and New York Cosmos that it would have no bearing in his season because the circumstances are different.

'AC Milan family is totally different. You can trust AC Milan family. They give u exactly what u want so at any time you want to give everything inside you so it always feels good to be loved and to be back where you have peace,' he told a group of reporters.

Asked if he did not feel loved during the world cup with Ghana, Muntari said: 'It is my country. I love my country and I can never exchange any place with my country. There are certain things I want to say but I would say it at the exact time but now I don't want to talk about it.'

For now Muntari is just happy to focus on AC Milan with him he is touring at the moment. 'This year we want to dedicate ourselves to the league and take AC Milan back where it belongs,' he said.
