The young striker scored 7 goals in four matches in the FA Cup to win the top scorer and has been nominated for the discovery of the year, as well as the best player of the competition.
Opoku faces competition from Abeiku Ainooson, Issa Yakubu and Augustine Okrah for the top most FA Cup award, but believes he is in the best position to win the award ahead of his competitors.
'I am not aware of the criteria they will use for the awards, but I know amongst the various nominees I am in the best position to win, because I was voted in all the four matches my team played before our elimination,' the Gold Stars striker told Metro fm.
'I don't think any of the players I am competing with can match the feat I achieved in the just ended FA Cup and that gives me the assurance that things would go well for me.
'It is a great honour for me to be nominated for such an award, looking at the fact that I am playing in the division one of the Ghana league.'
He added by revealing that there have been several interest from clubs like Ashgold, Aduana and Hasaacas.
'Several clubs like Hassacas, Ashgold and Aduana Stars have come forward for my services, but I have taken my time to study the right club that would let me fulfill my potentials, Elvis Opoku said.
