La Liga Champions Atletico Madrid have targeted the transfer signing of two Arsenal players Santi Cazorla and Nacho Monreal according to the Daily Telegraph.

Arsenal will persue their interest in Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho after talks to sign World Cup winner Sami Khedira broke down. The Gunners will however have to up their bid for the 23-year-old.

Arsenal will be challenged by Inter Milan and Roma for the signature of £15m-rated Manchester City defender Matija Nastasic according to the Daily Mail.

Barcelona
Lionel Messi at some point in the last season wanted to join English Premier League side Arsenal when he was in talks with FC Barcelona in negotiating a new contract, the Daily Mail reveals.

Luis Suarez, 27, has left Barcelona to avoid the media circus surrounding his arrival from Liverpool, reports the Daily Star.

Barcelona midfielder Xavi will remain at the Nou Camp until June 2015 after holding last-minute talks with manager Luis Enrique. The 34-year-old midfielder had been linked with a move to Major League Soccer club New York City and Al Arabi of Qatar according to Mundo Deportivo.

The transfer return of Didier Drogba to Chelsea could lead to Romelu Lukaku leaving the club with his most likely destination to be Everton, the Daily Telegraph reports.

Atletico Madrid are unable to match Chelsea's £13m asking price for Fernando Torres, even though manager Diego Simeone is very keen to sign the 30-year-old striker according to AS.

Liverpool
Liverpool have targeted Atletico Madrid defender Javier Manquillo who is also a transfer target for Arsenal. The Reds are planning to take the 20-year-old on a season long loan according to the sun.

The Daily  Express reports striker Divock Origi has travelled to the United States of America to complete a transfer move to English Premier League side Liverpool.

Manchester City will offer striker Sergio Aguero a whopping £52m deal to stay at the club, The Sun reports.
