JUL 21, 2014 LISTEN

Bolt, the world record holder for both 100 and 200 metres, has revealed his schedule for August, which includes the Mano a Mano 100m race on the Copacabana on August 17.

He has run on the beach before, winning a 150m race there last March, and his upcoming visit to Brazil comes two years before he looks to defend his 100m, 200m and 4x100m relay Olympic gold medals in Rio.

He will head to South America after taking part in the 4x100m for Jamaica at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow but the details of Bolt's upcoming schedule do mean that he will likely not face in-form Gatlin - undefeated so far this year - in 2014.

Bolt is also set to compete in the 100m at the LOTTO Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Warsaw on August 23 and over the same distance at the Zurich Diamond League meeting five days later.

He took to his official Twitter account on Sunday to outline his plans for a busy month ahead.

"My race schedule finalised: CWG 4x100m, Brazil-Rio-Sun 17 Aug, Poland-Warsaw Sat 23 Aug, Zurich-Thurs Aug 28..#seeUsoon #CantWait," he wrote.
