The 2-day retreat at the Premier Best Western Hotel in the Airport Residential Area of Accra,  attended by eminent football administrators, was almost marred by the heated argument which nearly led to exchanges between, the GFA boss and the former Hearts of Oak chief if not the intervention of some eminent football administrators on the first day.

Harry Zakkour has expressed that he has been a critic of Kwesi Nyantakyi, that although he has done well for Ghana football, it is high time he left office to pave way for others.

The former Hearts of Oak CEO believes that didn't go well with Nyantakyi, which influenced his decision to call him anyhow, which is a sign of disrespect and he too reacted by confronting the GFA boss to pour out his anger on him

'When we closed the meeting, I was leaving when he shouted at me, hey Harry Zakkour be careful and as an action man I confronted him,' he told Metro fm.

'I will not sit down for a small boy to talk to me that way, because when I used to be in football, he was then in the elementary school. Although I respect him so much, if he wants to step on my toes, I am prepared to face him squarely.

'I have said on radio severally that Kwesi Nyantakyi has played his part to help Ghana football, so he should resign, pack and go away and he might have probably heard me, which didn't go well with him. I said it and I have not had a change of mind, because I still believe he should leave office for another person to take over.'

The 2-day retreat which began on Friday 11 July and ended on Saturday 12 July, was organized by the Ministry of Youth in corroboration with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in the wake of the Black Stars bizarre show in the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

During the 2-day retreat, the group did a general reflect ion on developments in the performance of the country in the area of competitive football and advised on the fashioning out of a national response strategy.

Kwesi Nyantakyi took charge of the GFA presidency in 2005 and guided the nation to an unprecedented three consecutive World Cup appearances, but some football administrators like Harry Zakkour think is time he resigned his post.
