Goodbye Atleti: Courtois leaves Atletico Madrid

Chelsea player Thibaut Courtois said his goodbyes to Atletico Madrid team-mates as the goalkeeper moves back to London to play for his parent club at Stamford Bridge.

The Belgium international played 56 games for Atletico Madrid during his loan spell and kept an amazing 28 clean sheets in the process.

Courtois visited the Atleti training ground of Cerro del Espino with his girlfriend to pick up his things and say one-on-one goodbye to the players and staff.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho refused another loan spell for the goalkeeper in the Spanish La Liga as the Portuguese wants his Belgium star to train with his Chelsea team-mates for the upcoming season before finally taking over the mantle from Petr Cech.

But this is Jose Mourinho. Thibaut Courtois could be Chelsea's first choice goalkeeper next season.
