Accra, April 15, GNA Michael Aytittey Powers Okine, has finally signed a supplementary contract to fight Braimah Bukom Banku Okine on Friday, May 16, at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Okine, who refused to sign the contract last week after series of negotiations appended his signature to the supplementary contract on Monday, April 14, at a short ceremony in Accra.

The new development has brought back on track the much publicised fight between the two boxers, after Okine refused to sign a supplementary contract last week, which compelled the promoters to turn to other boxers to fight Kamoko on the said date.

Okine, popularly known as Ayittey Powers told the GNA Sports that, his decision to sign the contract was based on directives from his spiritual father; TB Joshua.

According to Okine, the way had been cleared for him to mount the ring and professed looking forward to a tough contest, but was confident of winning the bout.

Asked whether he was capable of defeating his opponent, Okine said the ring will decide.

Ayittey Powers and Bukom Banku are scheduled to stage one of the historic bouts in the history of the game in a Cruiserweight category.

The fight which has generated so much tension and debate in the media has been described by pundits as a major turn-around in the history of the sport.
