The Foundation presents a ¢80,000 cheque to four charity organizations today at the African Ridge branch in Accra http://en.africatopsports.com/?s=game+of+hope#sthash.dTQ7tEdM.dpuf during a short ceremony under the supervision of Ernst & Young.
Four charity organizations including StepApp Foundation (are into providing health care for needy mothers and children), Ark Foundation (that focuses on raising awareness on sexual abuse of the youth), SWEB Foundation (which targets children with disability), Youth Development Research and Innovative Centre (an adopted Foundation of MEF which pursues the aims and objectives of MEF) passed the Ernst & Young selection criteria and received a cheque of ¢20,000 each for their respective projects and initiatives. http://en.africatopsports.com/?s=game+of+hope#sthash.dTQ7tEdM.dpuf
MEF Project coordinator Akosua Puni pointed out that MEF would be monitoring efforts of the beneficiary charities from time to time and promised to extend support to more charities as the years roll by.
After the program Chelsea star Michael Essien said: 'We believe something good will come out of this. So far the Foundation is doing very well, I have approached a lot of companies to support the vision, the response has been good and we hoping more will come on board. I want to thank everybody who contributed in one way or the other to the success of the game and the foundation,'
