Goal Ghana can reveal that talks are well advanced between the player's agent and the Norwegian outfit and it is very much certain he will be moving this summer.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Yahaya Mohammed who is on loan at Amidaus Professionals is close to joining Norwegian side Stromgodset, Goal Ghana understands.
Mohammed, who has been a revelation for the Tema-based club where he is the skipper, has been fantastic this season netting 11 goals from midfield and also inline for the player of the season award.
“When the Ghana league was on recess, the agent nearly took Yahaya to Stromgodset but things had to be suspended because he had to push Amidaus to a certain level before,” a close source told Goal.
"It is a done deal and he will be moving to Norway to sign the contract when the season ends. Coach Rony Deila seems to be very much interested in him after watching his videos.”
The former Ghana Under-20 player has previously had stint abroad with French Ligue 1 side OJ Nice and he will use his rich experience to help the Gulskogen-based club who will also be playing in the Europa League.
Stromgodset already have four Ghanaian players in their setup namely goalkeeper Adam Larsen Kwarasey, left-back Razak Nuhu, as well as midfielders Enock Kwakwa and Bismark Adjei-Boateng.
