Originally scheduled to take place between 21 and 23 for the first leg and on the 6th and 7th July for the second leg qualifying match for the 2014 CHAN (African Nations Championship) between Côte d'Ivoire and Nigeria was reprogrammed.
The first leg will therefore be held between 6 and July 7, while the return is expected in Abidjan between 27 and 28 July.
The winner of this opposition between the Super Eagles and Elephants will qualify directly for the finals of the competition. CHAN 2014 will take place in South Africa with 16 teams, the double of the number during the first two editions.
CAF motivates this decision by the participation of Nigeria in the Confederations Cup from 15th to 30th June. Nigeria has finally agreed to participate in these playoffs after having initially said no because of financial means.
