The former Hearts of Oak  trainer http://www.ghanasoccernet.com/abubakar-resigns-medeama-post-paves-way-for-chelsea-mobve/  is being courted by Chelsea to fill the void of substantive head coach which was created following the elevation of Hans Van Der Plyuim as the club's Technical Director.

In a letter dated 17th October, Abubakar who resigns on 'personal grounds' thanked  management  for the excellent working relationship and support during his tenure as  assistant http://www.powerlinks.com/api/powerlink-click-custom?id=326&keyword=management&advertiser_intext_ad_id=316&campaign_id=1229&type=null  coach at Medeama. http://www.ghanasoccernet.com/abubakar-resigns-medeama-post-paves-way-for-chelsea-mobve/

'I want to thank the Medeama management and the President (Moses Armah) for the opportunity given me and the support,' he told GHANAsoccernet.com.

'Once we continue to remain football people, I am sure our paths will cross again in future.'

Abubakar has risen through the ranks to become one of the finest coaches in the Ghanaian topflight.

He joined Medeama as an assistant to Bashir Hayford in 2011 but spent the latter part of last  season http://www.powerlinks.com/api/powerlink-click-custom?id=326&keyword=season&advertiser_intext_ad_id=317&campaign_id=1229&type=null  as the interim coach of relegated Wassaman United.
