Ahead of the World Series hockey championship, 44 players have been handed national team call-ups- 22 apiece for the female and male senior national teams.

The two teams- Black Sticks and Black Sticks Ladies- are currently pitching camp at the national hockey stadium to firm up their respective preparations.

Beginning September 7 to 9, Ghana will host the World Series tournament that will attract countries like Egypt, Nigeria and Zimbabwe who are yet to confirm their participation in Accra.
