TWO AFRICAN boxers at the ongoing Olympic Games in London were jeered by spectators as they failed to impress an expectant crowd on Wednesday.
Abdelhak Aatakni of Morocco and Richarno Collin of Mauritius produced what could be described as an abysmal performance during their two-round contest.
The two combatants started the first round by throwing wild punches at each other, raising the hopes of the fans in the process.
But surprisingly the duo lost steam under just 30 seconds of fighting as they started walking around in the ring as if there was nothing at stake.
The two African boxers started the second round on the same poor note as they again failed to produce fireworks.
The crowd started booing the boxers, wishing the fight would end for more purposeful boxers to mount the ring.
At the end of hostilities Richarno Collin of Mauritius was declared winner by judges, with a 16-points-to-10 victory.
