Accra, July 26, GNA - The MTN FA Cup final match between New Edubiase United FC and Ashanti Gold SC, has now been scheduled for Sunday, August 5, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The match, which was originally fixed for Sunday, July 29, had to be rescheduled following the sudden death of President John Evans Atta Mills, last Tuesday.
According to the FA Cup Planning Committee, the match will be played in honour of the late President, as a sign of respect from the football fraternity.
The statement also said sports journalists who wish to cover the finals should contact the Ghana Football Association (GFA) by the close of work on Monday, July 30, with the necessary details for accreditation.
The statement, however, noted that a flat rate of 2.00 GH cedis will be charged at the Popular and Osu Stands, whilst the VIP Lower and Upper will go for 5.00 GH cedis with the VVIP going for 10.00 GH cedis.
In a bid to motivate fans to attend the match, each football fan will be entitled to a free MTN recharge card at the gates and fans are encouraged to insist on it when they enter the stadium.
It said there will also be free MTN products and services such as free wifi internet services for the VIP area, autographed MTN footballs by the players of the two Clubs, MTN caps, T-shirts, keyholders and phones among others.
