Accra, Aug. 31, GNA--Teshie Town Eleven defeated their Nungua counterparts 2-0 to win this year's Ga Homowo soccer match played at Teshie in n Accra on Saturday.
After the ceremonial kick-off by Nii Adjei Otwenmma Nmashie the Third, Teshie Mankralo, Teshie piled up pressure on their opponents and deservedly snatched the leader in the 20th minute through inside left Reuben Osekre.
Nungua repulsed the attack and nearly had the equalizer three minutes later but a terrific shot by midfielder Oko Brase missed the target.
Both teams resumed the second session with greater determination but Teshie who were slightly on top, scored their second goal in the 86th minute through centre forward Thomas Otinkorang.
Mr Eddie Akita, Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku, presented the trophy to skipper Otinkorang of Teshie.
