Cape Coast (C/R), Aug. 31, GNA - Sensational Nanbayin Benya Bee on Friday night put up a splendid performance to knock out Joe "Pee-wee" Yartey of Accra in the third of their scheduled eight round bantamweight bout staged at Cape Coast.
Debutant Nana Bee use just one minute 33 seconds to dismantle Yartey.
Cheered by his teeming fans from Ntsen Street of Cape Coast, Nana Bee opened the round fiercely and launched series of heavy punches to the body and the face of Yartey.
Yartey repulsed the aggressive attack of Bee and plunged into a give-and-take affair in the second round.
But in the third round Nana Bee who was determined to win his maiden professional bout stood toe-to-toe with Yartey and the two entangled each other during the infighting.
In the process Yartey was reduced to a punching bag and Referee Bob Sackey of Accra stopped the fight to save Yartey from further punishment.
Bee's supporters invaded the boxing ring, carried him shoulder-high and went on carnival through the principal streets of cape Coast amidst brass band music and jubilation.
In the under cards Jonathan Yartey of Accra scored 79-71 points to beat Aminu Turkson of Accra in an eight round bantamweight fight. Even though Turkson lost he was not disgraced.
