John Mensah eager to return to the Black Stars

By myjoyonline

Black stars captain John Mensah is in a hurry for Ghana after stating he has recovered from injuries that have kept him out of the team since the last Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.

Mensah's long term future in the game has been called into doubt after featuring in just one game for his club side Lyon last season.

The 29 year old's career has been with injuries in the last three years prompting fears he might have to call it a quit to save his health.

John Mensah explains he has resumed training for the first time in four months and should be available for the stars next match.

The French based player in an interview with JOY Sports stated that, he is returning stronger than ever.

“Right now I'm fine, I have started training and I hope very soon I will be back to join the national team”. Said John Mensah

“I miss the national team as captain and will be back stronger than ever”.
